I’m hard at work on the planning stages of launching ‘Elton Swain’s Diary of a (not so) Dull Man’, and because Elton is a huge Scalextric fan, on ‘his’ behalf I purchased this old set, and I’m crossing my fingers that it will work so that I can set it up at the book’s launch party on April 26th next year.

Talking of fingers, Elton invents a special resin that he applies to the track so that cars can go faster around ‘Fingers Corner’.

Why is it called that?

Because the resin’s special formula consists of his crushed-up toe and finger nails to give the track extra grip.

And now the cars go around the circuit AT LEAST two seconds faster.

Elton Swain really is a genius.
